Neurons part 3 of 3: activity at a synapse
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.6 лет назад
Introduction to how information is passed from the presynaptic neuron to the postsynaptic neuron (electrical action potentials resulting in chemical neurotransmitter release). I also talk about how this represents information processing (the decision of the next neuron to fire or not fire)
Neurons part 2 of 3: action potential

Thank you sir
THANK YOU!! BEST RESOURCE ON MANAGING FRUIT FLIES IN LAB WITHOUT FLYNAP!!
This was super helpful and I love your teaching. Thanks so much!!
🐐
Important knewledges
thank you
thanks sir
Thank you for making this video!! You explained the experiment very well, and your enthusiasm really helped to keep me engaged throughout the video! I'm not in your class sadly, but we did a similar experiment like this during college, and you helped clear up my confusion a ton. Thank you again!
Why so underrated man
@BleierBiology Can I buy a copy of this resource from you?
Hey there, I saw your email and replied just now, sorry for slow response. And no, I am happy to send freely, especially since I modified this activity from another group that shared with me. All about open source especially for teachers.
I would really love a copy as well and am also willing to pay pretty please@@BleierBiology
Could I possibly buy a copy of this activity from you?
Just saying: you have an amazing ability to teach and the body language very impressive which make so easy to remember. Please keep up the good work!
Thank you so much. I love you
Birds(Aves) are Reptilia. they are a type of Theropod. We make terrible use of the word reptile. Probably more Reptiles and endothermic than exothermic, it just so happens that most reptiles died in the KT extinction event and we are left with crocodilians, snakes, turtles and lizards with Aves being the only extant member of the large family of dinosauria (crocodilians, snakes, turtles and lizards are not and never were dinosaurs) Crocodilians have a 4 chambered heart like endotherms and some other endothermic parts, but possible evolved to shed that and developed a shut as well as other biological changes, since endothermy is not conducive to the lifestyle they adapted to when taking to the water. It requires too high of a metabolism to sustain in the niche they filled. Birds and Crocodilians are Archosaurs. Turtles, Snakes and Lizards are not.
Thnx a lot sir
If you see my comment then give it a like
My genetics teacher is absolutely so ineffective with teaching- for me. I have ADHD and it's so hard to concentrate in class let alone read a textbook, but your videos are helping me study for my exam, because there is so much information regarding differences in eukaryotes and prokaryotes and a huge emphasis on the lac operon system and mutations that can occur. Thank you for explaining this so well
literal lifesaver!!!
Thank you so much. Can you please come and teach my professor how to teach this subject, to be honest, he is hopeless :)
The last sample question was so amazing. Thanks a bunch .
ur awesome
This was such an amazing explanation and it wasn't even a little bit boring. Thanks for posting!
Dude, thank you so much for this. I know I'm just a few years late, but your video took me from not understanding Hardy Weinberg at ALL to understanding it perfectly. I sincerely hope you're having a good day, you've certainly made mine. Thank you!!!
Hey! Thanks for this. ✨
your explanation is very good. Thank you so much.
Such an amazing description..couldnt fine anyone describing these topics simply
I've watched countless videos and this is the one that got through to me. thank you so much!
Ans 1 36 percent Answer 2 10 per Ans 3 19.8 percent
While fermenting a grain and sugar mash to make alcohol I had the idea to run my grain mash through an ultrasound to decrease particle size to make the grain mash more bioavailable to the yeast. The results were incredible. I am wondering if you can also try this on a grain mash and measure the results between the ultrasound mash and a control. I did a very short clip showing my bubbler and fermentation bucket. ruclips.net/video/xlaGz_3mKhU/видео.html After this I tried a sugar wash through the ultrasound unit but it did not seem to increase the rate at all. Probably because the dissolved sugar was already at it's smallest size. It did seem to point to the fact that the yeast did better with the smaller particle grain mash than it did with the sugar wash. I really would like to see someone do more testing and research on this as it could have a huge impact in several fields like fuel and space travel. That and I like the idea of giving back to the yeast something it likes for its centuries of service to humankind. #Yeast lives matter. I would love a reply with your thoughts. Been working on soil and foliar fertilizers and making them more bioavailable to the plant microbiology and cell wall penetration. #Nano Nano
Very good
thorough lesson
literally managed to understand this concept completely through this video and have an exam tmr !!!
thank you so much for this! i’m studying forensic anthropology in uni and in our genetics module we’re supposed to use r studio for this working out but i just cannot get the hang of it!! this is so helpful as my exam is tomorrow :)
very helpful
Thank you so much Mr. Bleier!
Honestly thanks 😊
informative
i love photosynthesis mmmmmmmmmmm yummy amazing increduble, but unfortunately i no plat so i no do photosynthese😔
So much easier. Ty!!!
This is the best video on this Lab ever
first comment, nice vid!
Let's go Mr. Bleier!
Thank youuuu
Thank you sir for explaining this topic in such a simple way. Now I can solve a lot of problems like this. Thank you!!
super helpful, thank you so much!!!!
Thank you so much this really help looking forward to more content 😊
Honestly, I’m stuck between taking the class or not, but this video helped clarify some things. TY!!
@Andrea Porras Yes i did !
Is it easy or extremely hard ? How hard is it ?
@@abdulrahmanomar5369 To be frank, I am only in my third week of school, so I can only give a small update for now. I find the class to be rigorous yet I can say it is easy if you take it step by step and truly work hard, as well as doing your work. So far I am good, nothing too hard so far. My teacher is amazing in helping us get through
@@lindsaylopez8930 what about now
@@raquelayininuola9148 Hello! My ap exam is tomorrow and I can finally give my full review. It is important to say that I have always done really well in Bio and stuff so a lot of the things I learned was really just adding on to what I already knew. It isnt easy per say, but it isn’t the hardest thing in the world as long as you truly take time to truly grasp an understanding. If you have any questions lmk
I know you made this for your students, which I think is very clever because the instructions for this activity can be tricky. I see this is inspired by another activity I have seen. But I am very interested in your different scenarios. Would you be willing to share what these are or if you have a write-up to go along with this? I am a JR high science teacher in Ohio.
amasing!
Thank you so much! ❤️
